Human capital is the most important resource of the Information Unit. For this reason, policies must take responsible and appropriate to ensure the willingness of all staff. The role of professionals has become the twenty-first century, so today we talk about human resources, talent, creativity. It is considered that the key factor of the Information Unit are people and they encompass the knowledge and creativity.

Motivation is a key element in managing a library, since it depends largely on achieving the goals to achieve. However, many library directors have not yet realized its importance and continue to run without taking into account the human factor. For this reason, in these libraries there is a lack of skilled resources, therefore, many libraries are looking for ways to attract and retain human talent.

The labor market has changed and the compensation is no longer the main factor to consider when a person seeking employment, giving way to other considerations such as flexibility, professional development conditions, among other elements that make up the so-called wage emotional.

Talent retention and recruitment of human resources are the two basic problems faced by institutions.

Peru is still a country where there are fewer features to improve the quality of professional life and they are frustrated with their work situation.

This perception is so bad for the institutions and professionals.

In this situation the level of productivity drops considerably providing professional services increasingly poor and inefficient for users that make use of Information Unit.

Library need to show some degree of sensitivity to the situation of their staff, that is essential to develop the motivation and retain talent and improve the results of the Library. It is important that these measures are implemented in a new form of management, more respectful of the professionals working in that space.

Currently the main reasons why people stay or leave their jobs focus on purely emotional reasons. Professionals are increasingly demanding the flexibility, autonomy, training, all those factors that contribute to good working environment.

The basis of motivation is communication. In many cases libraries have incorporated various training programs and have taken various measures to retain staff, but as we do not adequately convey lose their effectiveness if they lose the impact they should have to meet all staff.
